Week one was a very informative week for me. For the past several months we have been in leadership classes barely using any technology. Finding out I get to use old software and learn new was very exciting for me. For the weeks assignment I created a photo story using Microsoft Photo Story in combination with Audacity. When first told about this I was a little nervous considering I have minimal experience with Audacity and had never heard of Microsoft Photo Story.
I started by downloading Microsoft Photo Story. I was amazed by how easy it was to use. I was uploading photos and adding effects in a very short time. My issue came with adding audio. After some research I discovered I already had Audacity in my computer, but hadn’t used it in a very long time. There was a learning curve, but after a while I figured out the software. I found it much more time consuming to learn how to use then Photo Story. Overall I had a great experience and have since taught my students and my children how to use each of the software programs.
